A Registered Psychologist, Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves, in which I served as an Intelligence Officer (Navy Lieutenant, Honorably Discharged), and therapist based in Edmonton, Alberta. With a diverse background in psychology, military intelligence, business, and technology, I’m passionate about helping adults and couples overcome life’s challenges, build resilience, and experience meaningful personal and professional growth. When I’m not working or expanding my knowledge, you’ll likely find me outdoors on a backcountry trail in the mountains or tinkering with the latest tech gadgets.
The Passion Behind My Work
After witnessing the profound effects of trauma and grief on family members and military colleagues, I transitioned from business to the military, and ultimately into psychology. These experiences fuel my drive to support others through their toughest moments, helping them overcome mental health challenges and lead more fulfilling lives.

My experience as a business professional, Canadian military Intelligence Officer, and PTSD researcher informs my approach, helping you get the most out of therapy.

This involves integrating mindfulness-based techniques and thoughtful Socratic questioning to promote deeper reflection and awareness. My Educational & Professional Background
As a Registered Psychologist I hold a master’s degree in counselling psychology from the University of Alberta, along with advanced studies in business management, military intelligence, and psychology. My career has included partnerships with organizations like Canadian Forces Intelligence Command, HMCS Nonsuch, HMCS York, the Royal Bank of Canada, Crisis Services Canada, the University of Toronto, the IMPACT Lab at Toronto Metropolitan University, and the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research. Recognized with awards and honours, these diverse experiences have enriched my expertise in mental health, leadership, and strategic thinking, enabling me to offer a well-rounded approach to therapy.
In addition to my clinical work, I’ve co-authored several research articles in prominent journals, including Psychological Services, Couple and Family Psychology, the Journal of Traumatic Stress, the Journal of Family Psychology, Internet Interventions, and the European Journal of Psychotraumatology.
